‘I didn’t join politics to solve Nigeria’s problems’ – Rotimi Amaechi
Nigerians have responded to Rotimi Amaechi’s meeting where he expressed that he didn’t enter Nigerian governmental issues to tackle issues yet rather in light of the fact that he was jobless.
In a meeting with the Punch papers, the Minister of Transportation talked about his life previously and during governmental issues.
He shared experiences from past situations as the previous legislative leader of Rivers state, Speaker of Rivers House of Assembly, and numerous others.
While responding to an inquiry on how he built up an enthusiasm for Nigerian governmental issues, he was cited as saying;
”My father was a politician. He ran for councillorship during his time. However, I didn’t join politics because I wanted to be a leader or because I wanted to solve Nigeria’s problems. I joined because of unemployment. I also believe there is a part that grace played in it”.
This reaction has left a harsh preference for the mouths of concerned Nigerians. The hashtag “RotimiAmaechi” has collected more than 3,500 tweets. Read some of their reactions below
