Nigeria’s Education Minister, loses mother
Hajiya Fatima Adamu Baaba, the mother of Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, passed away.
Mr. Ben Goong, Director of Press of the ministry, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
Goong said that Hajiya Fatima died in the early hours of Friday at the age of 109.
The deceased who is survived by six children – three males and three females – have been buried on Friday at Azare in Bauchi State, in accordance with Islamic rites.
However, Adamu, one of the closest persons to President Muhammadu Buhari, is being tipped to replace late Abba Kyari as Chief of Staff.
